July 4

I did some open water swimming today, and was really encouraged. I have read a majority of Swimming for Triathlons and I feel that it is coming together. The drills were definitely harder to do in open water, but I finally started actually swimming and it felt great. I swam for around minutes without stopping or putting my feat down, and I did not feel winded or tired at all. I am excited to transition into the pool to see what that does for me.
Food wise, I overloaded on carbs today, mostly in the form of chips. I also had some ice cream at night.

Training
balance drills: 25 minutes
open water swimming: 30 minutes

Diet
pear, almond butter, chips, guacamole, hot sauce, chinese cole-slaw, cooked veggies, ice cream
