I feel pretty good this morning, which is very encouraging. I woke up at 5:15 to go swim, and was very tired. As I was getting ready I realized that an extra 1.5 hrs of sleep would do my body far more good in preparation for the race than 750m in the water, so I went back to bed. I am not sorry nor do I feel guilty.
I went to a work dinner tonight at an Italian restaurant. I ordered what I thought would just be veggies and eggplant (I ordered it with no cheese), but it came with cream sauce. I ate it, and resigned myself to the fact that I broke my dedication to veganism until the race.
breakfast: green smoothie – romaine, spinach, ginger, green apple, frozen blueberries, hemp, Vega, flax
lunch: homemade bean chili
dinner: eggplant rollitini, spaghetti noodles
snack: sesame sticks
