I was up 3 lbs this morning. No surprise. Today starts the final 4 week push to the race. My goal is to enter the race in the best shape of my life. To do this I will focus on proper nutrition, rest, and continue with the training as prescribed. My main goal will be

1) 7 hours of sleep per night
2) Perfect nutrition, including
– no alcohol
– no knowing consumption of processed sugar
– limited/no consumption of grain (outside of occasional rice)

Training
AM: 30 min easy ride (actual time 31:48)
distance: 6.14 mi

PM: strength + core
time: 30:00

Diet
post-ride: coffee, smoothie – coconut milk, pea protein, creatine, spirulina, walnuts, frozen raspberries, apple, kale, spinach, dandelion greens
lunch: salad – mixed greens, kale, pinto beans, hemp hearts, homemade horseradish dressing
post-workout: watermelon chia “slush,” almond butter, coffee w/ tsp HWC
dinner: big salad – kale, pinto beans, quinoa, sour cream, shredded jack, avocado, pineapple
